But Bush comforts us with his wise thoughts and eloquent phrases. I would like to share a few that I have heard over time and that have really touched my heart.
"I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here." -at the President's Economic Forum in Waco, Texas, Aug. 13, 2002
You're funny, George.
"You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror." --interview with CBS News' Katie Couric, Sept. 6, 2006
I think their connected...
"Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties." --discussing the Iraq war with Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson in 2003, as quoted by Robertson
No casualties? Ok.
"I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees." --on "Good Morning America," Sept. 1, 2005, six days after repeated warnings from experts about the scope of damage expected from Hurricane Katrina
Oh George...
"People say, how can I help on this war against terror? How can I fight evil? You can do so by mentoring a child; by going into a shut-in's house and say I love you." --Washington, D.C., Sept. 19, 2002
Huh?
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." --Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004
Well, thank you for finding ways to continually hurt us Bushy. We appreciate it!

God save president bush ohh wait George W. Bush nvm
I find it funny that most people now add to the list of attributes that makes a person a good candidate for President is "someone is articulate". They've never had to do that before Bush.
I dislike Bush, a lot. I think he's been bad for the GOP and I think he's been bad for the Conservative Movement, but let me ask you this? On 9/12/01 if someone had said, "There won't be another attack on American soil for at least 7 more years", nobody would have believed it. Bush has done that for us or at least I believe he has.
You really shouldn't have to add "articulate" to a list of characteristics in a presidential candidate, as you said.
No, there hasn't been another attack on American soil since 9/11. Our defenses are certainly on higher level of alert and efficiency than they ever were before that day.
