Mom: Video Adds More Pain

So apparently the NAACP has now made it a crime to speak your mind when you are off work, frequenting the local pub with your buddies, and blowing off steam about your daily strife. You may or may not have heard about Police Officer James Cousins II who, while OFF duty, made a joke to his friend relative to a drug dealer who was murdered. Little did the 'unsuspecting' officer know was that he was being video taped by an unknown bystander who later uploaded his rant regarding the drug dealing murder victim to YouTube.

Now, this unknown subject knew that nothing positive could result from one broadcasting how this police officer felt about this person who was murdered. What was he trying to prove about the officer? Did his commentary affect his job performance? Did it make his career of taking drug dealers, child molesters, and murderers off the street any less virtuous? No. And now the NAACP is calling for this officer to resign, simply because he vented his feelings in a place he thought to be a sanctuary, not a subterfuge.

Additionally, it is clear that the only reason that the NAACP is even involved is because the murder victim was African American and that they wouldn't have even considered lending their 'services' in this matter if the subject had been any other ethnicity. Is this not a deeper level of discrimination than what they are claiming that this officer has committed?

The bottom line is that James Cousins is a police officer who witnesses crime, murder, and despicable acts committed every single day of his life. So what if Rondale Jennings, Sr. (who was a violent and criminal drug dealer) was murdered and Cousins discussed his death with his friend while he sat and drink at a bar after work? I know, why don't we discuss the people that Jennings murdered in cold blood and the chilren he dealt crack cocaine to... I'm personally greatful that he is off the street, whether he is dead or behind bars.

As for the snake who recorded Cousins and started this fiasco, way to lower my faith in humanity just that much more. As for Cousins, high five buddy.

The moral of the story, if you don't have anything nice to say, you should still say it, but just make sure no one is recording it in the background.
